WellieWishers! New Line Of American Girl Dolls! Available NOW

When I was young girl my grandmother whom I called MaMa subscribed to the Pleasant Company American Girl catalog, for over a year my grandmother and I would go through all the pages, look at all the historical dolls with their period attire, and accessories with awe. They were just so beautiful. My MaMa started off by buying me the Felicity books -the character that I was most drawn to-written by the wonderful Valerie Tripp. I read all the books until pages actually fell out, and my love of the written word and my dreams of writing myself all stemmed from the pages of those books.
My MaMa got remarried to a wonderful man, and had a huge wedding.  I was the maid of honor and my sister was the flower girl. At the wedding she gave us both an American Girl Doll, I received Felicity, and my sister got Samantha. It is one of my most prized possessions.  That doll sits on my dresser to this day as does the collection of her adventures as a constant reminder of my Grandmother, and the piece of my childhood that helped form me to the person I am today.  Clearly I have been a huge fan of the company ever since and was just beyond excited when I was invited to go to the AmericanGirl Store In New York City to welcome in their new line of dolls the WellieWisher’s.

We received a sneak peek before the doors opened and the line was available to purchase that day, enjoying some snacks in the cafĂ©, which no matter how old I am I always love, and hearing all about this wonderful line of dolls.  I also got to meet the writer of many of the American Girl books-
including Felicity- Valiere Tripp. I started talking to her and telling her how her series of books and doll Felicity impacted my life, and then I started crying like a little baby. I am not a woman who cries easily.  Thankfully Ms. Tripp was a wonderful woman and took it as a compliment instead of a crazy 30 something lady fangirling.  I was already busting at the seams when I received the invite- but to actually get to meet the author of the books I adored, to meet the woman that helped give me a lasting memory with my grandmother- was a real gift. So I am more than thrilled that Ms. Tripp has come together again to work with

Decorate Easter Eggs In Style At the Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge

Easter is right around the corner, and the bunny will be hiding eggs in all his usual haunts and parents and children will be decorating them this weekend in kitchens across the country.  However, us lucky New Yorkers are in for a very special treat this year!  The beautiful Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge, is hosting a Easter Egg Decorating event and we are all invited!  That is right folks we can decorate among the Skyscrapers instead of staring at our kitchen cabinets, at this family fun event that is also supporting a good cause! This Saturday, March 26th from 1pm to 4pm.  Patrons can enjoy several springtime cocktails, games, and raffle prizes, with proceeds from the cocktails donated to Friends of Karen, an organization that provides financial, emotional, and advocacy support for children with a life-threatening illness and their families, in order to keep them strong, functioning, and able to cope.
Although we have never been (something I am thinking of remedying very soon) this place looks completely gorgeous, with the added bonus of being very kid friendly and working with a good cause, I see no reason to change things up a little bit this year and visit Monarch this weekend!

Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge is located at 71 West 35th Street, perched 18 floors above Midtown Manhattan.  Here is a link to their website: http://addisongroupnyc.com/venues/monarch/.  The event is free to enter this weekend, but we do recommend you RSVP if you plan to attend. You can do so by emailing reservations@addisongroupnyc.com

Sprint HTC Phone Review

As we all know we don't just use phones  for only talking anymore--I know weird right?  They are a tool for connecting on the road, whether it is on vacation on your commute (public transportation people only) these phones are all about fun, entertainment and micro-managing your life!  Sprint and Harman Kardon have come together to build a truly remarkable phone, The HTC!
I am absolutely in love with the camera feature on this phone. They take high quality photos as well as videos and it is so easy to manage.  The double camera lenses add depth and perception to even the most mundane photo--making it look as if you shot it on a Canon rather than a phone.   Along with all the regular features this camera includes a "selfie" button which flips the camera face-wards and has a countdown for the perfect selfie.  It has a dual capture which takes a forward facing shot as well as  a face shot which is super fun to play around with and a 360 degree panoramic view.  Lastly the Zoe camera takes a short video or picture with the hit of the one button.  Photo taking is a huge deal with me and something I checked out right away. I was instantly in love!
Now down to business.  This phone runs fast!  The applications you have up go away after you don't use them for a few minutes and there is an option to turn them off with a swiping motion. This also keeps the battery from running out too fast.  Speaking of battery life, I am very happy with the lifespan of this phone.  I can be on it all day and not have to plug it in, which is amazing when you are working texting, talking and taking pictures all day long like I am.  They have all the apps that I need to run my site with and all my side businesses.  All of which runs with  great speed on the Sprint network.

With the help of Judy Garland’s spot-on wax figure as Dorothy Gale, visitors will be invited to “follow the yellow brick road” to the attraction. Following its Times Square appearance, for a limited time visitors will be invited to interact with Judy Garland’s wax figure and stroll along the yellow brick road in the lobby of the attraction. Child Modeling Agency Munchkin Stars!

Your kid is cute, really cute, not just apple of your own eye cute, and you're thinking-I bet he can get some modeling gigs. But where to start? There are, unfortunately, so MANY people out there to rip you off that you may find it difficult to weed out the scams from the real honest-to-goodness agents. Well my friends I have THE agent for you! Marni Maroof who owns Munchkin Stars. She works hard to get your cuties into the modeling biz. But who is Marni? And why should I trust her? I am glad you asked! Ms. Maroof has a full resume of experience when it comes to working with children and casting. She has been working in entertainment and advertising most of her adult life and even did a little acting as a kid herself, top that off with a Master's Degree in elementary education and she is well rounded in working with children and getting them seen. Where did her real inspiration come from though.... your going to love this....HER MOTHER (see we do count!) Marsha Rosenstein has recently retired, but worked for thirty years as a New York Talent agent and successful manager. She is a consultant as well as inspiration for Marni's budding business.
Munchkin Stars Management represents infants to five-year-olds for television commercials, film, and print. They work with casting directors, production companies, modeling and talent agencies, commercial photographers, and advertising agencies. Marni and her staff PERSONALLY oversee every aspect of your child's career. Now here is the best part-Munchkin Media expects no money up front, they get paid if your child gets booked (fifteen percent of your child's money would go to the Marni's Fee), so other than traveling expenses you don't have to shell out any cash unless your child books a gig.
