BuggaLoop A HexBug TableTop Game!

One of the reviews we have been promising you is the new and very cool board game Buggaloop produced by Ravensburger and featuring Hexbug.  As you guys are well aware, we have been watching Hexbug grow since its beginning.  The items they produce are so amazing so technically savvy, and so much fun for the whole family that anytime we have a chance to play with them we are just thrilled.

In Buggaloop you are racing against the super smart Hexbug Nano to get all your pieces from one side of the board to the other.  The game comes complete with everything you need, one game board that plays in the box, two tubes that go on either side of the board, four sets of different colored game pieces, a die and of course the Hexbug itself.

Peaceable Kingdom Presents: Say The Word!

Say The Word!, the great new game from Peaceable Kingdom is a hoot and a half! This cooperative game is for three people or more and can really be played with children as young as three years + as well as being a great adult game.

The purpose of the game is to remember the story as it progresses with each turn and each new word that every player adds to the lineup.  First you pick a character card- this will be the star of your story.  Then you pick a word.We picked the pizza delivery man, and in this case we got “ripe” as our first word.  So I said "the pizza delivery man came to our door with our ripe tomato sauce pizza”. Oh yeah I made it complicated off the bat.  After everyone saw the word I laid it face down next to the character card.  Next up my husband picked a new word card so he said “The pizza delivery man came to our door with our ripe tomato sauce pizza before he fell into quicksand” then placed the card face down.  Getting the picture now? After every turn one person writes down the word that was picked on an included dry erase board. Your goal is to get to at least ten words without forgetting the words and story that each person is helping to spin.  Everyone gets a guess coin, that gives them one chance to get a hint before losing the game for everyone.  You can even throw in a challenge card that will add even more complications (like a story line) into the mix! I am telling you this game is loads of fun.

Risk: Plants Vs. Zombies Special Edition Review!

Risk is a strategic board game that was originally released in 1957 and has lead to generations of tabletop "geeks" ( I  say that proudly my friends, I say it proudly)  playing for hours to take over the world. The game has taken on different worlds, Middle Earth being one of my favorite examples-but the special edition release of the games latest and dare I say greatest of all worlds is Plants Vs Zombie Risk Game (cheers and screaming comes from the audience...oh wait, I am not a host on TV. Dang). Released by USAopoly, this is a great marriage of two of the games that I love most.  Although most Risk players will feel (almost) right at home with this game, it does give you some very different ways to play. For one thing it is made for two players, which is pretty neat. The double sided game board is awesome giving you three super fun ways to play.  The first side has a detailed map of the PVZ town of Brainsborough.  Here you have two ways to play. Lets discuss the first way first (which is usually the case).
