Peppa Pig is still one of my sons favorite shows (shh do not tell anyone I told you that!) We have several pairs of boots, to jump in muddy puddles, which is why The Muddy Puddles Project, will have children literally jumping for joy to help along! You can help the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation that helps raise funds for Pediatric Cancer by holding your own Muddy Puddle Walk this April! All the information is here, as well as printable clip that will help you guide your way! We will be holding one- I hope you will as well!
The Muddy Puddles Project is a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation, a certified 501(c)(3) that funds pediatric cancer research. The project was inspired by Ty, a little boy who loved Peppa Pig and dreamed of jumping in muddy puddles when his cancer was cured. Since his passing, the Muddy Puddles Project continues to grow by leaps and bounds with families all across the U.S. joining the mission and participating in special fundraising activities.
April 1st has been officially proclaimed “National Jump in Muddy Puddles Day” by the nonprofit and it kicks off a whole season of special events – including Peppa-inspired Welly Walks to benefit the
charity.
What is a Welly Walk? It’s as simple as it sounds: an organized stroll outside – rain or shine! – in your favorite pair of wellies (rain boots). As Peppa Pig’s Mummy Pig wisely says, “If you jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots.”
Parents can also find more information about the Foundation and download the Peppa Pig Welly Walk Kit on the official Peppa Pig website: http://www.peppapig.com/grown- ups/charity
The Muddy Puddles Project celebrates kids being kids and all the silly and fun aspects that come along with it to honor all kids who are battling cancer and unable to enjoy such simple childhood pleasures. We hope you’ll help us get the word out – and maybe even be inspired to host your own Welly Walk, too! "
