Guy Fieri ‘s Mt Pocono Kitchen: Review

Guy Fieri ‘s Mt Pocono Kitchen

You may know Guy Fieri from his hit show on Food Network drive ins, diners and dives. Well now he has his own restaurant and boy oh boy is it something to behold.
I will Dream Of These Nachos
We had a chance to eat that Guy Fieri’s Kitchen Mt. Pocono during our stay at Mt. Airy Lodge and i have to say- it was awesome. Now I know what you are thinking- MJ you say everything is awesome- but picture this (Sicily 1942... Goldie Girls...anyone?) a meal that is literally all of your favorite comfort food cravings rolled into one. Add in great fresh ingredients and spices and you have Guy's.

The restaurant is right off the casino floor and open 24 hours for your eating pleasure. The feel
Is a old school homey pub like atmosphere with Food Network playing both Guys show on one screen and the love channel on the other.
The menu consists of twists on America's ordinary favorite foods so for example- their take on nachos were filled with tri colored nachos, beans, and sour cream- but then adds their SMC or super melts cheese/ which was insane, Chorizo, and Corjito. Layered so that every single nacho had something on it and piled high- these were not just nachos- they were a masterpiece.

Macaroni And cheese Burger
For dinner we had burgers although the “Danger Dog” (a jalapeño stuffed all natural hot dog wrapped in maple bacon and served with pineapple salsa, grizzled onions brown mustard on a pretzel bun.) had its appeal. My brave husband had the “Macaroni and Cheese Burger”- crispy maple bacon, macaroni and cheese- some more SMC, lettuce tomato and pickles as well as the house sauce or Donkey sauce all on a garlic brioche bun. He was amazed and silent the whole meal. It was that good.

Also on the menu are classic sandwiches, salads, steaks salmon and pork shank. All made with a fun twist and all look like they would be just as good as what we had. Also to be noted that not only is the food unique and largely portioned- but it is also quite affordable. You can eat like a king
Maple Bacon Mac and Cheese
without breaking the bank!

With fun food, a laid back atmosphere and Guy Fieri all around there is no way that this could not be a must eat at while at Mt. Airy Lodge, or the surrounding area!

We were invited to dine at this location for a review however all opinions are our own.
