The World’s Greatest Toy Store™ Prepares to Welcome Fans from Across the Galaxy as It Counts Down to Force Friday with Vintage Toy Exhibition, Store-wide Star Wars Activities and More
From Wednesday, August 26, through Monday, September 7, the store will showcase a special exhibition titled “Destination: Star Wars – The Experience,” featuring dozens of prototype, original and early editions of some of the best-known Star Wars toys in the world, curated by Rancho Obi-Wan, Inc., a non-profit museum that houses the Guinness World Record-certified largest collection of Star Wars memorabilia.

On Thursday, September 3, fans of all ages are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character and take part in one-of-a-kind activities, including:
· Star Wars product demonstrations and activations (all day throughout the store)
· Photo opportunities with Furbacca and Geoffrey the Giraffe (throughout the day, in store)
· Art classes with Jeff Carlisle (11am, Level 2)
· Book signing and meet and greet with Steve Sansweet (2pm, Level 2)
· LEGO® Star Wars make and take activity (5pm, Level 2)
· Light Saber Academy with members of the New York Jedi (6:30pm, Level 2)
· A panel discussion with Steve Sansweet and Jeff Carlisle for the first customers in line (11:15pm, Level 2)
When the clock strikes 12:01am on Force Friday, September 4, Toys“R”Us Times Square customers will be among the first to purchase toys from the new Star Wars collection. The first fans in line will receive a Collector’s Edition LEGO Star Wars Commemorative Brick, an exclusive, limited edition Star Wars poster and a Star Wars Character Flashlight from JAKKS Pacific.*
