Last week we were invited to the #FamilyPlayTime event in NYC to help celebrate Google's new Family Experience on Google Play! This new feature is helping parents everywhere find the best digital content for their family. Your search is as easy as pressing the adorable Family Star- the official mascot of Family Play- that is in every category of the store. This will lead you directly to family-friendly content, elevating the sometimes overwhelming search for age appropriate games, movies and books. Once in this area you can search easily by age or interests. The descriptions provided in this area of the store will give you a more in depth look at apps and content so that parents really understand what they're purchasing. Google has shown that they are putting families over products with this new shopping experience by giving you all the information you need to decide what you want to expose your child to. They understand entirely that millions of dollars have been wasted because of vague descriptions and lack of informationin apps. Instead of cashing in on that they are providing you with a means to escape wasting money while empowering parents everywhere with information. If that isn't a reason to party then I do not know what is!

The new setup even had family star badges that give you a quick reference to the age range of the content, as well as being able to see what apps are ad 
supported and have maturity ratings. The clincher however, are the updated parental controls, which provides parents complete control over how many apps can be downloaded, restricting purchases and blocking streaming of mature content.
