Sorry For the Delay....

Disney Side Celebration!

We held our Disney Side Party on this past February 15th- here is NY we are getting buried in snow but it didn't keep many away. We celebrated our Disney Side pirate and princess mad tea party style!  Why were we celebrating you may ask? Well that's easy- just because!  Filled with the awesome Mom Central sponsored party gear that we received, we had a house full of Disney party animals running around showing their Disney sides! We had princesses drinking Sofia the First's scrumptious punch tea and pirates drinking Jake's NeverLand Brew! We dined on star, Mater, and Lightning McQueen shaped peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches- along with Ocean Spray Craisins! This took place in a room guarded by the Red Queen's card guards- making sure no one got out of line- we listened to Jake and the Never Land Pirates music and danced around. Parents got to view the Disney planning DVD and were inspired to look into a trip in the near future! After our tea and sandwiches we enjoyed sugar cookies with our favorite Disney Jr friends decorations. The kids colored our Hanes t-shirts with our fabric pens while the adults looked through how awesome HP printing is! Using my awesome wireless HP printer I will be taking the pictures from the event and sending them to our princesses, pirates, and mad hatters as a special reminder of what an amazing time we had!

Celebrating is not reserved for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. Just like showing your Disney Side doesn't have to be at one of the two theme parks. You can hold your very own Disney Side party using the helpful tools at http://www.disneysidecelebrations.com/. You can print out magical memories with the amazing little extras that HP printers have. I also am a big fan of spoonful.com because they have amazing ideas to make everyday a special day and has been a huge resource for all my "secret" recipes since I had my son. This website is where we printed Sofia tiaras and amulets from!

So show everyone your  Disney side, on twitter, instagram and Facebook by either tagging @disneyside or using hashtag #DisneySide and find out whats happening in the world of Disney by following @DisneyParks on twitter! It's never to early to bring your Disney Side to a Disney Park!

Plan Your own Disney Side (anytime) Party!

Frozen Pineapple Whip
*2 cups frozen pineapple
1/4 cup milk of choice
1/16 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice

Blend all ingredients until smooth scoop out wit ice cream scoop into small cups and freeze for 20 minutes before serving!

Disney Side Trail Mix Bar!
mini pretzels
mini fish shaped crackers
small chocolate candies
raisins
Craisins
small cheese crackers
peanuts
yogurt covered pretzels
popcorn
mini marshmallows
cashews
wasabi peas (could leave out for little ones)
peanut butter chips
garlic powder and other seasonings

Put ingredients in individual bowls, and encourage guests to create their own party mixes with their favorite ingredients!

   Decorations:

Printable are a mom's best friends, you can print anything and with a little elbow grease turn it into something special!

For dessert decorations, print out character paper dolls, laminate them (if you're insane like me) and tape on toothpick to easily decorate a cookie or cupcake! After they are eaten, an adult removes said toothpick and viola! Instant toy!

For "pirate's brew", take a old bottle, print out a new home made or pre-made label and you have a very special and functional upcycled decoration for your party!

Cookie cutters aren't just for cookies! I have long since tricked my child into eating his sandwiches by using these Cars cookie cutters from William Sonoma!  They make every single bite more fun!
*also the actual sugar cookie recipe from William Sonoma is amazing- don't tell anyone I told you!

                                           Activities
T-shirts and fabric pens = AMAZING (these here were provided by Hanes and Crayola as part of our care package). You can even go crazy and print out iron-ons (I didn't). All you have to do is print a coloring page printout onto an iron on sheet, cut and iron on! Super easy, and I highly suggest you do it!

Dance Party! Pump up the tunes (one of our favorite Disney albums is Jack and The Neverland Pirates- those pirates know how to jam!) and dance your butts off, you can even go crazy and do freeze dance. This is an easy and FUN way to wear the kiddos out after all that sugar!

And just remember no matter what you do- You will have a magical time as long as you are together!

****I received complimentary products in order to host the Disney Side @home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own!****
